Edward Moore, S.T.L., Ph.D., is Professor of Philosophy and
Dean of Faculty at St.
Elias School of Orthodox Theology.
His books include
Plato (Humanities Insights Series), and Origen
of Alexandria and St. Maximus Confessor: An Analysis and Critical
Evaluation of Their Eschatological Doctrines, which is available

In addition to his interest in Orthodox theology, Dr. Moore
is a scholar of Late Hellenistic and Byzantine Philosophy,
and has published and lectured widely on topics and figures
such as Gnosticism, Neoplatonism, Origen of Alexandria, Plotinus,
and St. Maximus the Confessor. He also serves as Area Editor
of Late Hellenistic Philosophy for the Internet
Encyclopedia of Philosophy, and is an active member of
the International
Society for Neoplatonic Studies and the American
Academy of Religion.

Mary C. Sheridan:
Contributing and Book Review Editor
Mary C. Sheridan, Ph.D. taught in both high school and college for
a total of thirty-six years. After twenty-four years of teaching
at the City Colleges of Chicago, she retired as an assistant
professor in the Department of Business. She holds an M.S.
in Business Education from the University of Wisconsin in
Madison, an M.A. in Psychology from Roosevelt University in
Chicago, Illinois, and a Ph.D.in Patristics (Department of
Philosophy) at St. Elias School of Orthodox Theology.

Marilynn
Lawrence Moore: Contributing and Technical Editor
Marilynn Lawrence Moore holds a B.A. in Psychology from Pennsylvania
State University and an M.A. in Philosophy from West Chester
University of Pennsylvania. She currently works as a web writer
and teaches philosophy as an adjunct professor. Marilynn's current areas of research
include Ancient and Continental philosophy, phenomenology
and existentialism; and she has been researching the historical
interaction of Hellenistic astrology and philosophy. Marilynn
also brings to the journal over nine years of experience in
web design, content editing, and web development.
